At New Life Church we are called to a ministry of mission, reaching out into the world with the love of Jesus, being the hands and feet of Jesus to do his work. If you are called by God to start a new mission project, please let us know, so we can be of help in making that happen. Here are some things that are currently going on in mission work at New Life Church.
Out of the Cold Clothing Collection
We are collecting Men’s Underwear, all sizes, for “Out of the Cold” thru March 15th. The idea came from Pastor Dave’s visit to a homeless shelter in the Washington DC area. He had noted that the number one need of shelter residents was underwear, so in talking to Jordan at “Out of the Cold”, we found her to be in favor of this idea. Please only donate packaged underwear. Thank you to all that can help us with this collection.
New Ministry at Centre Care
This is a New Life Church outreach to the residents at Centre Care. We have a hymn sing the 4th Thursday at 2 pm and a Bible study on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2 pm, same days and times each month.
Please see Pastor Dave or Ann Shallcross if you have questions or are interested in participating – you will need orientation. The staff of Centre Care is eager to have this ministry for their residents.

Dr. Heather Heisey - Missionary to Mongolia
Heather sensed God calling her to return to long term service in Mongolia. Her work will focus on sharing the love of Christ through veterinary medicine and training with a small animal emphasis.
Her hope is to continue to develop lasting relationships, to share the Good News with those who have not heard, and to disciple and encourage fellow believers in their faith and ministry. The Lord has shown her that He is the provider of a hope and a future for those that trust in Him. Through her service, her desire is to see others find that hope and future through Him for themselves.
Please keep Heather in your prayers. She and her little dog Cora arrived safely in Mongolia and at her temporary apartment. It was a very long flight but no problems. Uphold her in prayer as she begins this exciting but challenging chapter in her work and witness.

Food Related Mission Projects
We have a ministry that focuses on providing meals or other food related services to those who have the need. Currently, a few of us prepare a meal for about 20 people at Out of the Cold (OOTC) once every few months, with each person providing a portion of the meal. We also provide sides for the Pregnancy Care Center's monthly meeting. Please contact Barb Hofstrom if you'd like help prepare food for these endeavors (b.neuhard@yahoo.com)
We also deliver donated pizzas from Brother's Pizza to OOTC every Tuesday lunch. Two Thursdays a month, sandwiches are donated by The Original Waffle Shop and delivered to OOTC
We offer meals to people in need after surgery, injuries or any reason there is a hardship in their home. Please contact Cathie Dick if you would like to be included in our email list looking for food donations. (chd1975@outlook.com) And please let us know if there is a need.
